Tragic Accident: 10 Dead, 27 Injured in Collision Between Pickup Van and Bus
In a tragic accident, ten people lost their lives, and 27 others were injured when a pickup van traveling from Ghaziabad to Sambhal collided with a private bus. The incident occurred as the van was carrying laborers working for the Britannia company, who were on their way to their native village in Aligarh to celebrate Rakshabandhan. Four of the passengers had boarded the vehicle from Dadri.
District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh confirmed the casualties and stated that the injured have been transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Bulandshahr SSP Shlok Kumar reported that the injured were admitted to hospitals in Bulandshahr, Meerut, and Aligarh. He mentioned that one person is in critical condition. The ten deceased were all men, while the injured include women and children from the families of the workers.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed concern over the incident and instructed officials to ensure that the injured receive the best possible medical care.
Videos circulating on social media showed the aftermath of the collision, with the pickup van completely wrecked and the front of the bus severely damaged.
